Little Miracles!

Last week we had been doing some less-active finding off of a big list of names and addresses we have of people who are supposed to live in our area. Hong Kong has a lot of less-active or “lost” members, so sometimes we look for them to see if they even live in the same apartment anymore. Most of the time it’s the wrong address, they’ve moved, or there’s no one home. But there was one door we knocked on and a 30 year old lady opened the door and just let us in, which NEVER happens! It turns out the the less-active we were looking for had moved a few years ago and she happened to be the one who bought the apartment. She had some other friends over and they were having a small get together of sorts. It turns out that she and her fiancée had just broken up so she was having a really hard time. We talked with her for a little bit and shared with her what we do as missionaries. We were able to exchange phone numbers and planned on coming back the next Monday. So this week we visited her and were able to teach her the Restoration and it was so great! After the prayer she was crying and you could feel the Spirit. She didn’t have any religion and had never even heard of Jesus Christ or God, so we had to start from the very beginning, but she was so willing to listen. I know that it truly is through God’s grace and power that we were able to find this prepared daughter of His and share with her the wonderful message of the Gospel!

Another little miracle that happened this week was with a potential investigator that we had been trying to meet with for a few weeks now. We had met her on the street while finding, but every time we tried to see her something would come up and she wouldn’t be able to make it. The other day we were waiting for the tram and I saw someone approach us and realized that it was her! I was able to talk with her during the tram ride home and finally schedule her for a time that would work. The Lord really is looking out for us!

Nothing too funny or exciting happened this week, but I did get taken out for my birthday to Indian food which was delicious! I could eat curry all day long! And our ward is super awesome!

Sometimes I’m in a lesson or just walking along the streets and I feel such a love for everyone around me! I didn’t know it was possible to love someone that you don’t know, but I’m sure it’s just a little taste of the infinite love that our Heavenly Father has for each and every one of us! I will never get tired of this work so long as there are new people for me to love!

Have a great week and remember to love those around you!

Love,
